Test Setup

We've updated our test gear in a few key areas. We now use 32GB (4 x 8GB) of 3,000MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Amp! Edition for all new CPU testing, and as we've recently introduced some new tests, some of our benchmark results that draw upon the graphics card are a little thin. Due to time constraints, we've included results for both Threadripper CPUs, Intel's Core i9-7900X, and in many tests the Core i7-6950X too. We'll be adding more results over the next few weeks.
